        At BuiltX Mumbai, Arun Kashikar of Tata Housing discussed the role of construction technology in the development of affordable housing before Propstack Co-Founder Shubhankar Dongre tackled the topic of Big Data and its ability to empower the real estate ecosystem in the welcome age of transparency. Last but not least, Dinesh Malkani, CEO of Smarten Spaces, gave an excellent introduction to artificial intelligence for facilities optimization.

        At BuiltX Bangalore, a more tech-oriented group were treated to an introduction from CoWrks CFO Abhishek Goenka, who caused a stir by predicting that “50% of a all office space will be co-working spaces within five years”.

        Goenka was followed an expert presentation from Ameer Azeemi, RMZ’s Chief Innovation Officer. Azeemi gave a practitioner’s view on digital transformation projects, discussing the use of pilot projects, how to work with technology companies and the ‘fail fast’ mantra. The evening at CoWrks was completed by Smarten Spaces one again, this time with Malkani’s colleague, Kumara Swamy.

        Finally, at BuiltX Gurgaon, Bluesky Ventures Founder Yash Gupta opened by sharing some of the big picture trends in global PropTech and why he chose to build a fund to invest in Indian PropTech.

        Gupta was followed by HDFC Realty’s Vipul Roongta, who gave insight into HDFC’s newly forming approach to PropTech. He described them as being on ‘Day One’, having recently scoped out the many impact areas for PropTech.
