        She has held several other leadership roles as a senior member of IEEE – such as General Chair of IEEE ANTS Conference, Coordinator for IEEE Region 10 Industry Relations, Chair for IEEE Computer Society Chapter & Vice Chair of IEEE Bangalore section, etc.
        You have knowledge and experience over such a wide range of topics starting with Telecom when you started your career at CDOT, to Semiconductors at TI and System at IBM followed by your work at the Cloud-Computing Initiative.
        Hence, I would attribute my ability to navigate across domains and technology areas to the following best practices that I have used throughout my student days and career:

        2. Advice to new graduates: When you make your career choices, you need to adopt a 2-step process.
        Explain how R&D may be different from product development and what are characteristics engineers should acquire to work in either area.
        You have been a long- time member of IEEE and are currently leading a technical society.
        1. Learning – The best way to keep abreast of new developments and trends in Technology and skilling yourself in new areas.
        2. Networking – By participating in IEEE activities and volunteering in IEEE Chapters and Societies you develop a very enriching and helpful network amongst the professional community locally as well as globally.
