We are pleased to present our fifth edition of “Project SESEI Newsletter Europe” for our European Community in India and Europe & feel happy to say that the Project SESEI is playing an important role in strengthening the cooperation between EU and India around standards and related policies for new technologies.
We are also happy to announce that Centre for Development of Telematics (CDoT) under Ministry of Communication has developed a “Common Service Platform” suitable for smart cities, and is based on the Interoperable oneM2M specifications. This C-DOT Common Service Platform was launched during a workshop “Future Proof Smart Cities with a Common Service Layer: A Standards Driven Approach” as organized by “EU-INDIA collaboration Project on ICT Standards” further supported by project partners ETSI, TSDSI and the Delegation of European Union to India.IoT and Machine to Machine is the modern flavor in the ICT sector, Tata Communications has collaborated with Hewlett Packard Enterprise platform which is based on oneM2M platform to deploy its Internet of Things (IoT) technology in India. On this subject of M2M/IoT, Indian IT organization – Wipro has joined the LoRa Alliance and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is conducting a consultation process. India is poised to become one of the largest IoT Market in the world and is expected to grow exponentially to 1.9 billion units in India by 2020.
