October 30 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Get Hands-on Experience in IoT Use-Cases from the World's Foremost Experts!

As part of IoTNext 2018, IoTForum has lined up training sessions conducted by experts from across the globe. Join these day-long Workshops and Masterclasses to deep-dive into the technological and business use-cases of some of the world's leading startups and multinationals!

In the last 4 years, IoTForum has established itself as a community of the leading minds in the IoT sector. We help formulate policies to strengthen the Indian IoT ecosystem and help startups find business opportunities by providing training, tech and business connects.

Why attend?

These workshops are well selected for IoTForum goal of Raising the IoT Quotient of India. In these days of rapid change, startups need to prepare for the future rather than be caught with outdated technologies and old school business models. A good example of this is the “WhatsApp moment in Finance” statement by Nandan Nilekani  at TiE Leapfrog. Some links to Thought Leadership are illustrated below.  In this emerging space, thought leaders are needed to shape the future of IoT. IoTNext aims to educate start-ups, developers and enthusiasts in the IoT domain through these IoTForum training programs. We have kept descriptions of the context and courses brief to allow rapid scanning but do click thru the hyperlinked portions to get more depth and send us a query or join our Telegram Group and engage.

  • Masterclasses on topics like Scaling, Exits and M&As; 5G Technologies and Industrial IoT Biz Cases
  • Workshops to give you tech and business knowledge on IOTA, LPWAN, Edge-computing, etc.
  • A 2-day Hackathon to test your IoT Security Expertise, compete with the best and get handsome rewards

Checkout the video above to get a bird's-eye view of the workshops!

TiE/IESA members have a reduced price. We have special discounts for Academic Institutions and bulk registrations. Reach out to us for further queries.

Masterclass: Scaling, Exits and M&A

With over 1000 IoT Start-ups in India it is time to consider inorganic options. What every hardware start-up founder should know about exits covered some issues. Join this IoTForum curated Masterclass.

Building IoT Solutions using LPWAN

IoTForum has been advocating that connectivity in public places and hostile environment should seriously evaluate LPWAN. Tata Communications has deployed LoRa in several cities including Bangalore and will provide the kit for this hand’s on workshop to get you productive. For more You can see LPWAN coverage at IoTForIndia or see this report  From Chaos to Clarity; A Clear Future for LPWA is Developing.

Pathways to Connectivity and Security for Industrial IoT

Industrial IoT has over 20 different protocols and many do not fit TCP/IP and UDP of internet world. If you have not grown hairs struggling with making SCADA and PLC smart or making them secure avoid a decade of trouble by joining Nexiot in exploring and having a quick but effective tour of issues and options.

Masterclass: Developing Business case and RoI for Industrial IoT projects

Flutura has many implementations on SCADA and sensor data analytics in Oil and exploration and then other industries. Siemens recently too on a partnership. They will walk thru building business case, RoI and priority for end users to develop a roadmap to pilot and implement Industrial IoT. Yogesh Zope, CIO of Bharat Forge and Jagadish, Chief Digital Officer of Hindalco will also speak and make it come alive.

IOTA: DLT (Block Chain) V2 for IoT

Blockchain, a type of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and IoT are much talked about. Traditional Blockchain suffers in speed (<25 transactions/Sec) and compute needs per node (each node wholes blockchain). IoTForum is recommending trying IOTA( See coverage at IoTForIndia )  a new variation that can run on lightweight devices and may deliver 1000 transactions/sec.

Innovative AI Applications: Sound and Speech Analytics

Hax the largest Hardware accelerator notes in its latest  Hardware review  “ The Race for Voice Tech is On: A Fertile Ground for Startups”. Bangalore start-up Klove uses Alexa and was interviewed   in  Conversational Commerce is a Green Field. But you may not be able to use Siri, Google or Amazon for voice in industrial IoT. AsquaredIoT has developed sound based IoT Products and will be taking the participants into using sound and speech in IoT.

Usage of drones in Enterprises

India may have 40,000 civilian drones in place with over 22 Start-ups developing specific solutions. This  will be more vibrant with the new DGCA policy. Drones or UAV are used in Surveillance, Inspections and precision Agriculture. Students, Entrepreneurs wanting to go into  Drone space should attend this.

Master Class: 5G for IoT

5G is a quantum new cellular change coming thru IMT-2020 from 2022. It has borrowed extensively from success of LPWAN in IoT and provides low latency, high device density, good reach and low power options.  5G will provide a platform for new business models and leading product designers should initiate the process of understanding and learning how to use it.

Applications of IoT in improving Supply Chains

Supply chain especially in emerging markets like India is large, fragmented and in efficient. It is receiving major investments with over 100 start-ups like Tagbox, BlackBuck( Zinka), Locanix, Loginext, Rivigo. This workshop by Tagbox will take a deep dive into a specific fragile good  use case and show real users’ requirements and solutions.

Masterclass: Accelerate Deep Learning Inference using Intel OpenVINO™ Toolkit

Edge computing has been gaining popularity as latency of cloud-based command and control as well as #calldrop raise issues. AI or Machine Learning inference on edge has a strong business case. It works faster, takes less power and is more reliable as network issues are bypassed. Intel's OpenVINO toolkit offers software developers a single toolkit for applications wanting human-like vision capabilities. This Master class will show how to use the toolkit.

Hackathon: Hardware/IoT CTF

Catch the Flag (CTF) is a special kind of information security competitions. As the Internet of hacks takes forth IoTForum advocates FreshThinking and a larger White Hat hacker community to help build safer and secured IoT with Red, Blue and Purple teams. This CTF will teach basics for Red team aspirants.

Thought Leadership

TiE leapfrog was a momentous event and the WhatsApp moment in Finance predicted by Nandan Nilekani has happened far faster

The first public presentation of India Stack by Sharad Sharma, iSPIRT was at IoTNext 2015

IoTForum has advocated for IoT Platform, Edge computing , FreshThinking around IoT Security and additional spectrum in Sub Ghz for IoT and usage of LPWAN for Smart City and public places IoT. Hear it in the Launch of IoTForum V2.0 . For a deeper dive, visit here
